Tomato Cage
Here are some Tomato Growing Tips
Tired of the tiny conical shaped cages that only support a trunk but not the branches? Are you tired of over the top, heavy and expensive cages that you can not easily store? Would you like to have the cages that are recommended on nearly every university extension site and used by farmers across the country? Finally, do you want the most veggies ever? we would love to help farmers and growers replace worn out cages or make it affordable to buy large sets to last for years to come.
Options of tomato cage
Some cages are made of concrete wire remesh. This is the material used to reinforce concrete. Well, farmers learned that it can make a flexible, light weight but long lasting cage for growing vegetables.
Other option are the taller ones, are much stronger and didn’t blow down like the others normally do. i recomend compare the two cage to see if the harvest would be the same if not better.
The Tall tomato-cage from you have allowed my plants to grow over 7.5 feet tall and allowed more tomatoes to grow and gain easier access to them. These are the identical cages used by farmers across the country and can handle even the largest varieties of heirloom tomatoes. They are heavy duty, not heavy and easy to store. This Tomato/Vegetable Cage is 5 feet tall (4 ½ feet above ground) with 6 inch spike feet for stability. It has a diameter of 18 inches and you can close it down a to be a little smaller by moving the hooks in one square. They will oxidize over the first growing year, this really “seasons” the cages and they tend to last for many years. The farmers who taught us to make them had barns full of them and many were 10 years old.
